Graduate Post – ACA training contract with focus on tax consultancy
Taxation is a constantly changing and high profile field. Here at Claritas Tax, we can offer you the opportunity to work in tax advisory, giving you a deep understanding of tax and how business transactions can be affected by tax law. Our work is predominately project and solution based, requiring daily problem solving and the application of complex tax law to the wide variety of commercial situations.
Claritas Tax are a Birmingham based firm, made up of people from “Big Four” backgrounds. We are a tightly knit team working closely together and we have more than doubled in the last 2 years. We are currently recruiting to fill our third graduate role due to the success of our previous graduate positions.

Our offices are at Brindleyplace within the heart of the business and restaurant district and only 5 minutes walk from the city centre.
What you will be doing
- You will be an integral part of a growing firm
- Helping to deliver tax advisory projects, including mergers and acquisitions
- Assisting with tax research
- Meeting clients in a support role to the senior team
- Assisting with tax compliance
Training and development
We are an ICAEW Authorised Training Employer and we are looking for an ambitious individual with excellent numeracy and communication skills together with strong literacy and report writing skills. As part of your 3 year programme, you will study towards the ACA qualification, which is one of the most respected accountancy qualifications in the world. You will receive work based on-the-job training on a par with the best accountancy practices and we work closely with training providers to ensure that you will be provided with all the support needed to pass your exams.
Qualifications and experience
- A 2:1 degree in any subject.
- A UCAS tariff of at least 300 (or equivalent).
- Grade B or above in GCSE Maths and English.
