He was also responsible for the tax function for the bank’s private equity investment vehicles and the UK arm of the US Bank. He was involved in the IT global cost sharing company and the extensive transfer pricing issues. John believes that the tax tail should not wag the dog and that enduring solutions to tax issues are founded on sound analysis with full collaboration with customer or client and non-aggressive, yet commercial tax planning.
John and Anne have two young adult children and much to their surprise have found that both have boomeranged back home after university. John therefore gets lots of opportunity to practice one of his favourite hobbies, cooking.
